Hi! I'd love to be able to have use of a retaining wall calculator so I know how many blocks I will need to purchase, including maximum height allowed for various block brands. Thanks
I think the estimators are especially helpful to the people that are not in construction. The figures that they get are not always accurate. It would be best if they used the figures as a rough estimate. I am an estimator and I know when you use sq.ft. only, you are probably going to come up short. I find this especially when figuring flooring. I've tested this theory and the 2 ways of figuring never come out the same, even with the waste factor.
What would be extremely useful is a dictionary of construction terms. Not only would it inform, it would also help the homebuyer in describing their ideas to their builder. It would save alot of change orders!
