I am amazed with all the new stuff that's out there. How do you keep up with it all? I must be doing everything the oldfashioned way and wasting a TON of time. Have you found anything thats helping you do your work faster or cheaper or both?
The neatest new product that appears to need some marketing is Copper-Bond. It is a cold-weld for repairing or installing copper pipe. No torch is required and a completely dry pipe is not required. If you have not gone to PVC, this is the way to go. Check out http://www.copperbond.com

There is a neat new product that seals shower liners watertight. Made by a company called eaunon. It is a system that snaps onto the edge of any shower liner. You can open and close it like a shower door, and it helps prevent water damage too. Check it out at http://www.eaunon.com
I have used a flooring product called PortStone. It feels and looks just like brick, but it is much easier and takes about 1/3 the time that regular paver take. The web site is http://www.portstone.com
I just found a revolutionary BBQ grille that guarantees to heat charcoal in 10 minutes, and provides mess-free cleanup in minutes as well. NO lighter fluid, NO propane and NO gas to ruin the taste of the food. It is designed to be used as an island countertop setup. This grille will revolutionize outdoor cooking. Check them out at http://www.CharcoalIslandBarbecueGrille.com. I was able to sample food cooked on this grill and it was restaurant quality. Finally something new and improved!

This product looks great, how does it compare in costs to traditional brick, or tile?

Ceiling Mounted Radiant Heating Panels, electric, from Solid State Heating in CT. Made is USA! Solves heating problems in basements, porches, cold bedrooms, bathrooms and over garage rooms. 750 watts heats a large space. 4 screws to mount them, 120 or 240V The panels wire up like lights and go up quickly. Nice warm infrared heat. The 2'x5' bathroom version has a 10" x 10" square hole for lights and fans. They work very well in "sunrooms" with a lot of glass because the infrared heat bounces off glass...back into the room.

One of the coolest product I saw at this year's IBS in Orlando was from SpaceLift Products. The HG-TV film crew was there filming their attic lift system storage product and they also thought it was "best of show."
I like the Waters Hot inc R.A.Z.E.R.S. system. (Reverse Ambient Solar Energy Reclamation) It is a new patent. The Company is out of Orange City Ia. It is a air to water heat pump that uses refrigeration technology. It's COP is better than ground source heat pumps and there isn't any burying of tubes or drilling wells. The condenser coil mounts on the outside of the structure or in a waste heat stream. The recaptured heat is put into water for use in the domestic water or for heating.

Needed 1 hour fire rating for some IC rated lights and used this new(???) product. http://www.tenmat-us.com/ Never heard of it before but it was easier than building drywall boxes and my inspector loved it. Just had to set them on top of the light.
