I read about these and they sound like they are the greatest thing since sliced bread but....they cost a fortune. I researched and came up with the one I included a lionk for which I bought for a sister. She likes it but at this time I cannot say more than that. This one has a thermostat, cuts off when tipped over, radiant heat plus a blower fan, etc. which all sounded good. Somewhere I also read that a 1500 watt heater is pretty similar to other 1500 watt heaters. Let us know if you bought a Edenpure please.

WE bought one and are so sorry that we did.We are in the process of sending it back.If you are 2 feet in front of it you're o.k.We set our thermostat at 62 degrees and the most it goes up is 1 degree. It's a lot of money for nothing! We got a Presto Heat Dish from Costco for a small price of $54.00 and it's to die for.It heats our kitchen(which is huge to say the least)and it gets to around 72 degrees with the thermostat set at 62 degrees. The only thing I don't like is that does not oscilate.I just ordered another parabolic heater a few minutes ago that does oscilate as we want one for 2 rooms. It is called Windchaser and cost $53.00 with 1100 btu's.I'm assuming that it is comparable to the Presto. All in all you'd be very happy with the Presto,we love it!
