I am installing a laundry room in my basement. My septic tank is located on the first level. Is there is device that can pump the water up to the line that connects to the septic tank. Thanks, Pats
There are both free-standing and below ground sewage ejectors that will do what you want. It is basically a tank that collects waste water and pumps it up to the sewage drain. They are not terribly expensive but installation can be costly. It might be worthwhile to look at more than just gray-water systems if you think you might want to add a basement bathroom later. There are several different brands; Saniflo is one I know of.
