I need help w/selecting a Heat Pump.
I need to replace both the inside and outside unit. Below are the quotes I've gotten.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

5728 for a 14 SEER Trane
4877 for a 13 SEER Trane
4913 for a 15 SEER Carrier
4867 for a 13 SEER Carrier
4500 for a 2 speed high efficiency Bryant

All the warranties on labor and parts are pretty much the same.

All good quality products. Pricing varies from one geological area to another. The questions I have would be:
1. Is the airhandler variable speed?
2.Was a heat gain/ heat loss calculation done per ACCA guidelines?
3. What if any revisions are to be made to the rest of the system?
4. Will an outdoor thermostat be installed to prevent the auxillary heat from coming on when the weather is above the home's balance point?
5. What kind of room thermostat is do be installed?
6. Do you need an air cleaning or humidification system?

Good Luck!
PS I'm sure you've already asked for customer references and made inquiries to the Better Business Bureau. But just in case you haven't; you may wish to consider it.
In my opinion Carrier and Trane are the stars here. Opinions do vary.
