I have a Kenmore Tumble action clothes washing machine, Model #417, at my vacation home in Wisconsin.

Last spring one of the 2 tubes that brings water into the machine turned up cracked and broken. I believe, and the repair man believed, it froze, despite my following the Sears manual's instructions for winterization. Repairman said he didn't know how to winterize because the tube through which the water comes in had a check valve so water wouldn't just run freely in and out even tho' I drained the machine and the incoming hoses. He suggested "blowing out" the water lines but I don't think that will work because the machine's electronics would have to open the valves for fluid to move through them?

Got any ideas on how to force anti-freeze into those tubes to replace the water held in by the check valves? and if I can do that, what will that propylene glycol do to the components of those tubes, the check valves, whatever else is exposed to water?

Thanks for any help you can give me!
