In the manual of the submerged waterfall pump...
It says, don't run motor without water.
If the motor run without water, what will happen to the pump?

The water is the lubricant that prevents the motor from over heating. So if you run it without water, it will eventually burn up and you will need a new pump. Some pumps have a feature where it will turn its self off if there isn't any water.
