I have a 7 ft. drop ceiling with 6 flouescent panels & 3 of the fixtures. I would like to remodel with drop lights or cans. Any suggestions on how to start?

You can install recessed cans in a drop ceiling if you want to. They make cans with brackets that attach to the grid system, assuming that is the kind of drop ceiling you have.
