I have a unique situation where a second air handler was installed in the attic. This was done as a heating/cooling unit for future attic completion. Its presently turned off although it is fully plumbed into the heating system hot water supply. The attic is not insulated or heated. What Should I do now during the winter...I do not plan on running it...Should I isolate the zone and drain the unit?

Hi! I have a similar situation. What did you end up doing?
It might be beneficial to have someone come in and add anti freeze to the heating system. If ever there is a power outage, it can prevent damage then too. Propylene glycol is the only approved additive for heating systems.
