Hi I may be the expert on wood flooring but I need help about installing wall to wall carpet in my new 25 x 25 addition. If I rent the tools for seams stretching etc, should I be ok? How do you stretch such a large area? And where should I place the seams so it wont show as much?? Any advise would be GREAT.

Hi Kathy,

I have seen a few different types of stretchers for WTW carpets. Some involve extension rods that push off the opposing wall baseboard, while others are kickers that would require more leg power per the larger carpet. Still other types that latch on and pull the carpet to the tack strip. It depends what they have in your area to rent. Regarding the seams, if done correctly, there should be no seam showing wherever it is placed.
