It seems that it takes our 40 gal. electric HW heater a long time to reheat water after a bath or shower. We have to wait an hour at least for the next person to not have to rush through their shower. The house is only 4 years old. Is there something that I can check?

Thanks, Chuck

Recovery time can vary with the temperature of the incoming cold water, and the temperature setting of the heater. There is a limit to how high the water temperature can be set, for safety. Find the label for manufacturer and model number, and try their web site for recovery time information, or look in the owners manual if you have one for the unit. Then you will know what to expect.
