i need to find out what would be better on furnaces we are going to replace our gas furnace but what would be cheaper and more effenciant for gas or elect. i would like some help on this i got my gas bill and it was 130.00 for one month please help.

Here is a fuel cost comparison for you I got these numbers from coCORN BURNING STOVES COST OF HEAT PRODUCTION

Dry Shelled Corn 8,500/pound 118/ pound = 2 bushels $1.75/bushel $3.50 @85% efficiency = $4.12
Electricity 3,413/KWH 293/KWH $0.075 cents/ KWH $21.98 @100% efficiency = $21.98
Natural Gas 100,020/cubic feet 1,030/cubic feet $1.30/100 cubic feet $13.39 @85% efficiency = $15.75
Fuel Oil 139,000/ gallon 7.1 gallons $1.00/gallon $7.19 @80% efficiency = $8.98
LP Gas 91,690/gallon 11 gallons $1.69/gallon $18.59 @80% efficiency = $23.23
Wood 16,464,000/ CORD .0607 cords $150.00/cord $9.11 @60% efficiency = $15.18
Wood Pellets 8,000/ pound 125 pounds.06 tons $175/ton $10.50 @87% efficiency = $12.00
THE CHART ABOVE SHOWS PRICES PRIOR TO THE 51% EXPECTED INCREASE IN NATURAL GAS!!!!!!!!
