I have been told of a retro fit can light kit that consits of a short electrical cord (one end screw into the exsisting fixture and the other end receives the light bulb. There is also a smaller cover and eyeball that fits over the old LARGE can. Anyone - please help!
In a small town and lighting companys just shrug shoulders. Many thanks.

I think this is what you're looking for. I've used these and they work pretty well, but you're going to lose some lumens of light by going the low voltage route.
