I want to rewire my swag lamp and remove the chain, but I don't want to use the conventional wire. I want to use the wire that i have seen on pendant lamps. It is a smooth white round casing. what is this wire called I assume at an electrical supply house but I don't know what to ask for, help.

I checked at my supplier, and this wire is not commercially available. Additionally, given that the wire is not greater than 16AWG, it is not suitable for supporting the weight of anything beyond a simple shade/bulb/socket combination. Not a good plan.
