We're thinking about re-doing our kitchen in a couple of months.
Here's the challenge:
We're in a small apartment, so the kitchen has to stay in it's current tiny confines.
I'm short enough to always need to stand on a dining room chair to reach anything on the top shelf, and often to reach the 2nd shelf too.

Looking for innovative ideas that let us build a smart, small kitchen that is set up in such a way that I can reach all the goodies without needing to haul big heavy chairs around (the kitchen is too narrow to leave a step stool in at all times).

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I know that feeling ! Try some cabinet organizers they come in all shapes and size and now the new ones pull out and down eliminating having to climb on a chair every time you need something. Hope this helps.

One lesson I have learned from doing many small kitchen remodels is the benifets of conserving floor space. try using wall cabinets as lower cabinets where possible, you can build a toe kick out of 2x6's and use 30" high wall cabinets. they still allow lots of storage without sacraficing floor space.
