we are remodeling an old (100 yrs) house and have started on the kitchen ...we are building our cabinets after we level floors and fix the cracks in the plaster etc........my question is faucets... we are looking at several different ones: delta, kohler, and price pfister.... any comments on these faucets will be greatly appreciated.... we are leading towards the pull out style bronze, will sit on the granite tiles over a black sink and they are a bit pricey around $250. thanks so much ...Jennifer

Jennifer,

You get what you pay for. If you plan on enjoying the faucet for some time, invest in a good quality one. All lines have cheaper models as well as the top of the line. I would say anything under $100 for a kitchen faucet is going to need to be replaced much sooner. I am looking at replacing a cheap one the previous owners in my house installed. All sorts of things are going wrong with it. Leaking, clogging, just major pain. My next one will be one of those tall ones so I can fill my big spaghetti pot more easily. And all the brands you named plus Moen are pretty good. Enjoy...Heidi

You get what you pay for but don't go overboard...once you have the faucet installed, you'll use it and not sit there and admire it...

Go with what looks good and what you enjoy...DON"T get white...it shows more dirt..better off with stainless, chrome, etc...

You can always get a better brand of kitchen faucets, you can always check online for new models, try getting this two handle kitchen faucet.

I would go with a Delta Kitchen Faucet . They have really stepped up their game in recent years. Their pull out spray faucets have a magnet that brings back the sprayhead. Also the faucets are lined with PEX so the metal never touches the water.
