Kitchen

Here is my new to be kitchen in our new house that we just bought. I am trying to figure out what to do with it when I get there. I will be replacing the floor with tiles more then likely but maybe hardwood.

The cupboards I don`t want to have to replace them but maybe paint them. The countertop is going to go for sure, thinking of doing a granite tile countertop(probably dark color).

Would a black or dark color countertop go well with lite colored cupboards?

What about the floors? Dark or lighter? There is a good amount of light in there so dark colors should be fine.

Any input would be great.

oh yes, and I will be putting up crown moulding on the cupboards.

Why paint the cabinets when everything else will be updated? If your cabinets are good why not just replace the doors and the drawer fronts with new ones or maybe reface the cabinets. My husband and I found www.taylorcabinetdoor.com when we refaced our kitchen. This company was a godsend. Since we had never done anything like this prior we were scared but Taylor Cabinet Doors' staff were there to answer any question we had throughout the entire project and the refacing kit they offer made it so simple and easy. We got REAL hardwood doors, drawers, drawer boxes with slides, hinges, real wood veneer (they call them skins) for our cabinets and Big Grinthe quality of the product was awesome. I got a brand new kitchen that makes my friends green with envy and we did it ourselves which saved us major bucks.
