I am having a problem convincing my husband that white kitchen cabinets and oak trim in the rest of the house will look alright. We are building a log home, but I have always loved white cabinets, but he is not sure. I would love some feed back and maybe some ideas on how to incorporate the white with oak.

You need to go to a kitchen designer or someone with 3D CAD experience and have them draw the kitchen with the cabinets and trim in the colors you choose. I can understand your husbands concern, I assume he likes the wood look with the open beams etc. having some color on the cabinets does not go with this style in his eyes. I am sure it will look great though.
