I'm a retired contractor getting ready t oremodel my kitchen with new cabs, counters and sink. I want to get a "fireclay apron front sink", 30x18x10. I've never worked with any of these brands I am going to mention and hope to get some feedback from someone who may know... I've found 4 brands on the e-net of great interest, but not sure which to consider. I can not locate any dealers in central CA that carry 3 them on display to compare. I have found the Rohl from England which has been around the longest making it popular in that sence so practically evryone carrie it and it's the most expensive at just under $900. It also requires a special extention adapter for use with a garbage disposal (unlike all of the others I will mention). Whitehous from Sweden has been around next longest with the most models available, but this size is a new model that has just come out at just over $700. Barclay is in the USA and priced at just over $500. Belle Foret from France has been in the US the shortest time and priced to sell in the mid $400's, making it the most apealing price. I have seen only the Rohl and it looks good, but I think over priced due to it's popularity based on longevity (and it's the only brand found in the display showrooms), plus it requires an additional expense for the extention adap[ter. I would like to know if anyone may have any construction, intelligent comments and information on these brands/models that can be useful to myself and others who are considering an apron front, farmhouse style fireclay sink. The prices I mentioned are the best online prices I've found at specific sites. I'm told the fireclay sinks are quickly replacing the old enamel covered cast iron and steel sinks.ebhenry0267@sbcglobal.netBarclayRohlWhithausBelle Foret
