I need to draw from reader's experience. The cabinets in our kitchen were refaced prior to our purchase of the home. The material seems to be vinyl with a faux woodgrain, they are medium beige in color. We are in the process of changing wall color and countertops and we want to change the color of the cabinets. The cabinets are structurally sound with good dove-tailed construction on all drawers, so replacing them is currently out. I need to know if there is a proven process for painting over the refacing material; a process that will not result in the paint peeling or chipping off.
Thanks for all suggestions.
