Wishful Thinking? Big Grin.....I currently have a Drop-In Kenmore Range with cooktop Coil elements. Does anyone know if only the top part can be replaced to make it a smooth Ceramic-glass cooktop?

No thing exists. If it did you would spend as much for it as a new range.
A new drop in range top is not that much money. Why would you want to replace it with a part?
If its in good shape sell it on Ebay and buy a new one.

Thanks for the reply....Recently purchased my home and am replacing the counter tops.
Had a glass top at my old house..really liked it. My reasoning was because....I was debating whether to keep the current drop in range or just buy a new glass top range at this house....oh well...like I said..wishful thinking.....looks like I'll flip a coin.
