Help. I am getting granite counters installed in my kitchen tomorrow. I want to be certain of that the half bullnose edge on various rounded corners and oval island is the best (and acceptable). I have been told that there should be perfect continuous uninterruped half bullnose on rounded corners of my counter including oval island with no noticeable transition inconsistencies, or imperfections.
My main concern so far is I have an oval island (5 ft long 25 in wide with the oval ends occuring on the last foot of each counter end and then straight 3ft). I saw the island being used by installer at home expo and it was not a uniform transition to half bullnose where the curved parts started but some type of noticeable transition which was not half bullnose but almost indented a bit from the top then became half bullnose around oval and another such transition at the other side where oval ended).
That leads me to be concerned about other rounded corners I have not seen yet. Some are small radius on my eating counter which has angles, two are nice easy rounding of full counter at 2 corners where shelves are underneath, 1 is a slight radius on another end of a counter.
Any thoughts on how perfect the half bullnose should be and what is acceptable or nonacceptable would be greatly appreaciated. Also if not acceptable any advise on how to handle when installer is there would help. Such as do not glue down until acceptable or hard to remove... who could help on what is acceptable or industry standard.
