I have a Bruce Mermbau Natural engineered hardwood floor in a very large area of my mountain home. It is less than six months old and has a filmy surface. I have used the recommended cleaners by Bruce to try to polish it up. The wood is dark and shows traffic marks very easily. I purchased the flooring from Lumber Liquidators and it has no warranty. I'm afraid the prefinished wax was not good to begin with and the cleaner has removed more. Can I reapply a wax finish that would polish it up again?

I would contact Bruce and ask them. The "film" that you are talking about leads me to believe that you have moisture coming up from the subfloor that you will need to address. I had a similar problem with a parquet floor in a house I bought several years ago. You will need to take the floor up and seal / install an appropriate moisture barrier and then put the floor back down.
