Is anyone making one piece tub shower units that are deep enough to actually enjoy a bath? The only ones I can find are shallow and have nowhere to rest your head.

I like the looks of the ones I've seen designed for the elderly or handicapped, though I've never used or installed one. Here is an example, but youn can find many more options if you google 'disabled tub.'
Nope no one is. We do a lot of modifications for aging adults and the tubs La Marlowe is thinking of are ones with doors on the sides to allow older or folks with mobility issues to enter. You cannot lay down in them. Why would you want a one piece unit anyway? These larger units typically do not fit into a constructed bathroom or through any doors. Teh sectional ones sold often become mold traps between the top and bottom sections The fiberglass finsih often wears after a few years of use and cannot be re-finished. They flex and are nosiy when taking showers.
Get a good quality soaking tub. And then install a good quality tile surround around it. Properly installed, and sealed. It will last a lifetime and can be just as easy to maintain.
