Ok, a handyman built a cabinet for me but apparently had some spray paint drift and left a haze on my NEW Brazilian Cherry laminate floor. Any idea how I get this off? The haze is light but just enough to dull the floor in that area even after I used the floor stuff from the manufacturer. The manufacturer says don't use cleaners, etc. so I'm stumped!
ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated!

Aaarrrggghh!

Maybe try buffing it like the body shops do with cars, using a tiny bit of rubbing compound. Try it on a scrap piece of laminate, if you have one, before attacking your floor.

Any other ideas, folks?

Dare you probably not...solvents may possibly destroy the laminate. Whatever you do, try it on a scrap piece of laminate first. If you don't have any scraps left over, get some samples from a dealer and try it on those. Then wait a day and look at your trial piece again before attacking your floor. Some chemical reactions can take some time to show.

Arrrggggg is right! He did put down plastic but I think the drift went further than he expected.
Thankfully, I always buy extra so I'll try some rubbing compound on a scrap first and if this doesn't work , if there are no more ideas, I guess I'll have to pull out those boards. Thanks so far for the responses. Still open to any other ideas you all. Sure appreciate the help!

Thanks... though I think I would have rather become a customer because of my own goofs than trying to repair after contractor goofs.... You all have really been a life line!
