We have been searching for a floor to cover our great room and kitchen. Would love hardwood like the rest of the house, but large dogs in these rooms makes that inpractical. Saw a beautiful wood look ceramic (?) tile in a home recently, purchased special order at local Home Center. They no longer have assess to this product. Has anyone seen it available recently for under $14.00 - $15.00 sw foot?

Try going to Avalon Carpet and Tile in Cherry Hill, on Springdale Ave just off Rt 70. They also ahve a store on Delsea Drive in Vineland if that is closer for you. They either have it or know how to get it. I got some out of their Manahawkin store several years ago for a customer. We did 700 sq ft of it last year in a North Jersey home and it was purchased at Wayne Tile up that way. Use a grout as dark as the tile and keep the grout joint at 1/8".

Thank you Bob. We did got to Garden State Tile and they had some beautiful samples, truly looked like hardwood, but VERY pricey. Also found an online outlet, Floorhub.com today listing it at 2.29 sq ft. Asked for a sample, as that is way apart in cost. I work in Tuckerton, Manahawkin is a lunch time run.

I appreciate your feedback.

Oops, cant believe I forgot about Garden State's store in Berlin. I think you will find it to be a pricey item if it comes from a reputable manufacturer. My problem with the onlines is damage during shipping and returns if not what you ordered. It can be a drawn out affair, meanwhile you have no tile to install and your money is tied up in an arguement with a lot of fingerpointing and blame passing. Avalon's store is on Rt72 East about 1 mile before the LBI bridge. I do a lot of work for a new home builder in Little Egg and Ocean Acres so I get around down there quite a bit.

Go to shawfloors.com. Find a Shaw tile dealer near you. Shaw has a nice looking porelain tile in a wood look in 6 colors, 18"x4", 18"x6", and 18"x12". They will not cost you an arm and a leg.
