Am purchasing a house that has greenboard already in place on bathroom walls. I do not want to paint, wallpaper because of temporary nature of the finish. Tiling is quite expensive. A building supply store (HD) has an offer to have local contractors custom fit a bath with a wonderful product, looks like 12" square textured tiles w/grout but from display it seems to be in sheets. Can someone help me find a product of this nature? Have seen similar, 4X8 sheets with mosaic patterns but the texture on this product was wonderful. It should be moisture resistant and very nice to keep clean.
Any of the flat panels I've seen in the sheet goods area do not hold up and all the seams are going to show. Some have nothing but ground it wood fibers for a backing and use plastic strips along the seams that are all but impossible to slide in place. As you try to slide it on the thin outside paper peels back. Just buy a shower Enclosher and then you'll know it will not leak. PS grean board is no longer approved for any "wet area". Paperless sheetrock should be used with 6 mil. plastic behind it.
Where all stupid, just in different subjects.
