I want to put wallpaper on a textured wall. In Europe they have a special underlayment that can be glued to the wall that smoothens out an uneven surface, such as a shallow texture or woven wallpaper. It has a smooth outer surface which you then glue your wallpaper on, and a backing that has some flexibility to even out the texture. Is anyone aware of this product in the US and what it might be called?
