I tryed this once, the texture paint soaked in the wallpaper and peeled it off the wall for me. Remove the wallpaper, put a good base-coat on the wall then use it

Hi Bonnie. My name is Bonnie also...just spelled Bonnye.
I am a professional paperhanger, so remember that it is always a gamble to go over wallpaper with anything, BUT...it can be done. Do a water test and if it bubbles up or loosens, then take it off. Sometimes when you texture or paint wallpaper, it peels off easier. Also, you can prep the walls for a new treatment of wallpaper, but this time use paintable texture wallpaper that is inexpensive. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Maybe I can help.
