I'M LOOKING FOR THE BEST METHOD OF SECURING MY MITERED JOINTS FOR COLONIAL OR RANCH CASING ON WINDOWS AND DOORS. ALSO, THE BEST PUTTY FOR STAINED AND PAINTED TRIM. IS THERE ANY STOPPING THE SEAMS FROM SEPERATING ? MINE JUST BARELY DO, BUT I DON'T WANT ANY SEPERATION. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP !!

Well, I always back cut them a hair with a utility knife, then glue them and cross nail them with a pair of small brads. I can't answer for the putty. There are as many products out there as there are opinions.
