I have a small-medium L shaped bathroom with newly installed wainscotting. I need to decide what colour(s) to paint. The floor is dark blue&black ceramic tile. I'd like a relaxing spa look. (pale green or blue) Should I have the beadboard white and a colour on the top part of the wall or have a colour on bottom and lighter at the top? (will one or the other affect the openness of the room?)
Any suggestions for paint colours or shades, and the overall look would be welcomed.

I assume your bathroom fixtures (tub, toilet, sink) are white and would therefore recommend white for the beadboard and color above. With a black and blue floor I think it would be hard to go with pale colors on the bottom unless the shade of blue in the tile could be replicated. As well - if your painting is traditional your ceiling will probably be white so this provides the cleanest look. Accessorize for that spa look!
