I recently (yesterday) had several granite countertops put into a remodeled condo. I only had one backsplash, 4", installed, in the masterbath. One long one on the back and a 2' side one on the right. Unfortunately, I forgot that there is a small cabinet to be installed on the right side and I should not have had that section of backsplash installed. How do I remove it; how is it attached? Help!

I'm responding to my own question here since there may be someone who has this problem. I Googled around and found that these types of backsplashes are typically just siliconed on and are pretty easily removed. We used an sharp knife and ran it around the top against the sheetrock and the bottom where it was attached to the larger slab. Stuck a wide puddy knife on the back and pulled it off with a small crow bar. clean up of the silicon was done with a razor blade. Minor superficial damage to the sheet rock with will be easily fixed.
