Our new hardwood floors have seams that seem to be buckling. What caused this and what can we do to fix it??

Was the floor installed in the basement,, or main floor. Either way you should have installed a paper vapor barrior under the hardwood. This will stop moisture from coming up and will minimize squeeking. If there is too much moisture you can get a de-humidifier this will do the job. It will keep the wood dry and stop it from swelling. Also did you leave any space between the hardwood floor and the wall. You should have at least 3/8 inch space all around the walls. When there is no space the wood has no where to go but buckle up..
