Hi, I had a cup of acetone (nail poilsh remover) and didn't realize said chemical would melt the cup. Now there is a nice burned away spot on the wood (my cousin's table, mind you) where the finish no longer exists. we colored over it with permanent marker, and it looks ok, until the light hits it the wrong way. I'm in Israel right now so I can't get any particular brand name of anything, but can anyone suggest a solution for me? I was thinking to buy gloss and just go over the dead spot with that, but I don't want to mess it up more and am unsure how to go about that and make the edges of the spot match the rest of the table. HELP
