I am finshing my basement with a suspended ceiling and have a floor jack to contend with along with all the ductwork in the ceiling being at a couple of differnt heights.

I was originally going to build a wooden box around these obstacles and drywall them. Then install the suspended ceiling after.

Does this seem like the best way to go about things?

Also they usually show those long bar ligts in this type of ceiling, there shouldn't be any reason why I can't put several potlights in here, Right?
