how do i get the glue off without scarring the floors?

Do you plan on refinishing the floors? If so you can use an adhesive remover alsong with a fine grit sandpaper.

i am going to refinish but want to get away from as much sanding as possible.
what type of solvent do you reccomend?
the linoleum pulls up except for a sort of fine mesh - the backing i suppose.
