There is so much we can do with color and so many people who are afraid to use color in their homes. I believe color has its own vibrational energy that can effect us in so many ways. What do you think about color on the cieling or alternative cieling treatments. Any ideas? Anything you've successfully tried that you would like to share?
Thanks
Christy

Hi Christy- I am a designer also- and yes, I often use color on the ceiling. The room design and style dictate when and how we use it. Often in a greatroom with a Cathedral ceiling, where there is no crown, I will take the wall color (med. range) all the way up. It actually makes the room warmer and takes the eye up the wall-instead of stopping at where the wall color and ceiling white would have met. I like to take color and/or color and texture into a tray or vaulted area. And believe it or not, even in a good-sized room with an 8 ft ceiling and no crown, taking the color across the ceiling will make the room "open up". Mid-hue color does not decrease light reflectivity, in fact, the play of light and shadows make the ceiling/walls interesting. If a client is reluctant, try doing the ceiling in a lighter shade of the wall.
Good Luck-
