if you have a grinder with a diamond wheel on it, and the cut is going to be covered by trim, which usually the cuts will be, then yes, turn the tile over, mark your cut and cut it out from behind. will you get a perfect circle, probably not, but you should be able to get it good enough that once your shower trims go on the cut will be covered.
