I have a very tall vaulted ceiling with a popcorn ceiling and a small water damage area. Can this be painted and if so what kind of paint works best?

You can use regular Latex ceiling paint. But beware that the texture may come off on the roller if you get it too wet or if it's not stuck to the ceiling properly. I use a 1/2" roller and roll the ceiling in small sections in one direction and then move on. The next day after the paint dries I roll the ceiling at 90 degrees from the first day. That should cover it well and not remove much texture. ood luck!

If the water damage area has a stain, be sure to use a stain killing primer, like Kilz. They now make a spray can that shoots upwards. It's called "Killz Upshot". very handy for ceilings!
