This is a toughy. As a designer, I advise my clients to seriously consider universal design if they are concerned about resale. You want to appeal to all when placing your property for sale. Having said that, personally, I design my space on a very personal level. I try to consider resale but by no means make final decisions based on what most other people will want. I want my space to reflect me, not 90% of the American poplulation. I think people are really beginning to understand individuality and the expression of it in the interior of our homes. I hope so anyway! That's why I have a job!!
