My soon-to-be and I are buying a house with a massive amount of what appears to be honey oak kitchen cabinets. For the flooring throughout the house we will be using a Jatoba laminate. We thought that this would be a nice color change up. Anyone have any input??? Would hate to make a wrong move on this. Thanks.

Problem is, who knows what "Jatoba" is?

Jatoba is often referred to as Brazilian cherry although it is not a cherrywood. It's colors can range from burgundy, deep red, or orange, some of it has dark stripes, but not all. Since the honey oak(?) cabinets are so dominant with grain, we are choosing a floor with little grain so that it wouldn't compete.
