I had a Trane HE furnace installed. They ran a PVC line out of the house for the exhaust. However the fresh air intake is aob ut 10 inches abov e the furance facing outward like a submarine periscope.

My friends homes have both lines running outside. Are both methods correct? Or should I be calling my HVAC guy back?
