HELP!!. Hate to show how dumb I am but: how can I locate the filter on my propane gas furnace? It is a Payne brand furnace.

I just had a carport enclosed. I want to put carpet down. What should I put under the carpet?

I assume you mean air filter when you say filter. It should be somewhere on the return air side of the furnace. It might have a small skinny door in front of it.
