I have notice that most CO detectors are for 70 ppm, but my testo 335 starts yelling at 30 ppm. Why such a difference?

Perhaps its just a better device. More sensitive then the others. If its going off even at 30, your way to high at that point. That is enough to kill you if your exposed for long enough times.
