the company installing an inside drain tile-baseboard system does not guarantee the sump pump and the manufacturer offers a 1 year guarantee on it, i see a couple supposedly offer 1-3 yrs....so some companies telling you about lifetime warranty on sump is yet again, completety full of garbage.

then add, these 1 yr warranties on sump pumps does not include labor or allowances for installation or system components. Ya better beware of these goofy salespeople, wouldn`t believe em as far as you could toss em, call manufacturer of the sump pump and ask them for the your pump warranty, what it covers, what it doesn`t.

Often such guarantees and warranties are worded so they sound terrific up front, but then when you really need them, you find that not much is covered at all. They are craftily written by legions of attorneys, and an ordinary homeowner is expected to try to understand exactly what is covered and what isn't, and that makes for an unfair matchup.
