I'm going to build a garage in Central Ohio, What is the frost line depth? I think it's 10-12".
My gargae will be on a slope, I'll backfill to bring the yard up around garage, so I should be able to take that into account when digging for footer? Yes or No
What about back fill? Whould old bricks be OK with gravel to fill the holes and around bricks?

10-12"? In OHIO?

Guffaw!Guffaw!

Frost line depth in Ohio varies from 32" to 48" depending upon location.

Contact your local code enforcement office for particulars. They establish the frost line depth.

You're in WAY over your head here.

Call your code office for help.
