The bathroom in my parent's house is rotting and sinking into the basement, to a point where it might be dangerous. The pipes and the wood is rotting, and the rotting is creeping up the wall.

We recently repainted the room and gave it a clean start, but we still need to tear out the floor and replace the plumbing. I've been searching online but I can't seem to find someone who would give me a direct quote as to how much this would cost if we had professionals come in and do this. Help?

You had leaks in bathroom that has caused this damage. I assume by your post you have addressed these issues.

You need a carpenter who does structural repairs. Go to www.contractors.com and look there for contractors. They offer a listing of them within your area that can help.

You should not expect a firm quote on this type of work. Quite often during these repairs additional damage is found and cost will go up.

If the floor is that bad, most likely the plumbing is aiding in the support of the tub and toilet area.

As far as cost. It can range from a few thousand dollars up, all depends on how bad, how big, how many wires are running through the floor boards, What is below the floor boards, access to the floor from below and a host of other things.
