has anyone heard of smoth stainless plates used to keep our california termites from building their tunnels up the concrete foundations and onto the soleplate of the stem wall. any help would be apreciated.
also for those of us out here with a mac, i have found buy accessing this site thu mozilla it fuctions much better, i no we all get little help from the page managers, so thats my tip for the day.

I believe the termite shield should go UNDER the sole plate, and the sole plate should be preservative treated.

They work, and usually people just have them made up by a sheet metal shop.
