We have a 40 yr old 1800 sqft ranch in Chicago area. Suspect mold in crawlspace (dirt covered in plactic sheeting - somewhat). Have asthma and suspect crawlspace is contributing to problem. Have had calls about contrete crawlspace and have seen ads for encapulation. Would encapulation work in Chicago climate and is it as good or better than concrete, which must be very expensive. Does anybody have any ballpark ideas on cost? thanks.
