Well,I offered to help him, He can certainly connact me.As for going toe to toe with you, in order to hold the title you first have to become a contender, and from what I've seen, you got a little work to do there old timer. I'm 48 years old and I'm starting to wind down myself, but I do like to discover new ways of doing things. thats why I like the NAWSRC so much. You can go to www.nawsrc.org and learn more, I think it would help you understand a lot more about what you're posting here, and maybe someday you truly will be the champion. Respectfully Frank O'Pinion

All hail Frank O'Pinion, the champion of the personal affront, and the champion at ducking the key questions that have been raised here over and over again, without one single intelligent reply. Folks, judge for yourself the character of the person, the way he probably does business, and the appropriateness of his "solutions" to problems that he evidently has no clue about. If he did, he'd have set forth his principles and defended them long ago, and he's had LOTS of chances to do that. So far, his score is ZERO.

lets see, Frank finally did say he is in Toledo, and in searching the org`s full list of companies, there are 2 in Toledo...according to the org`s list.

so Frank, if the list is correct then you are the brother of 'Basementguy' lolol OR, you are 'Andrew' who is the 'GM' of your Toledo branch! The other company is Everdry.. 20 BBB complaints last 36 months.

i don`t see any competition for title there Frank. please keep learning but NOT anymore of these goofball water-diverting systems, its not what MOST people need to stop-prevent water/mold etc. Frank, instead of going to another convention why don`t you come up here to Detroit Big Grin i`ll show you the best--but most difficult- way to stop-prevent water from entering basements, and i`ll do it for free!

you must be willing to WORK-Hard! Would you like to put the nonsense behind you for once and finally learn-see the entire playing field Frank? Ok, which company, 'Basemenyguys in Toledo' or 'Everdry' ?

That's funny, I see 1535 posts here, all of them FULL of clues. I think it's patently obvious who are the clueless ones, since they don't post ANY clues at all.

...well

You all are free to settle this score using my house as the guinea pig!

Of course... I would assume that means I wouldn't have to pay for the work!!!

LOL.

oh, hey Mr Frank... Wink

i see another water-diverting company who IS a member of your ORG, they seem to be having some difficulties, yeah.

they have 14 BBB customer complaints and the business opened March 2004, according to BBB.

within the last 12 months they have 9 complaints and BBB states.. "despite claims on its website and phone book ads, this company is not a member of the BBB"

hmmm, to most of us Frank, this is 'false advertising'...they are making false claims and are accumulating alot of BBB Customer Complaints! hello? knock knock?

they are located in Huntingdon Valley,PA

would you like me to post?

can you find out whats going on within your ORG to allow such companies to be members?

whats going on over there Frank?

how could any ORG who says/claims to have such high ethics and standards allow these kinds of non expert/complaint ridden companies to continue to be members? Huh?

Would you like names of other companies who have quite a few BBB customer complaints and are members of your ORG, frank?

Is it just possible Frank that your ORG`s claims of high ethics and standards for ALL of your members is bllchtt, huh?

you continue to post your org`s website and some unknowing HO`s may actually call in search of HONEST-good contractors (UGH!!)...you claim they are ALL so good/reliable/no problems/high standards etc. Hey Frank and the rest of ya over there....HEY.....maybe instead of going to your conventions and rubbing elbows with each other, maybe you should CLEAN UP your house over there first, huh?

One would think you`d care MORE about every and any homeowner who may call one of these butt-head contractors who don`t know what their doing, rather than some convention. Is it the MONEY they pay to be a member of your org Frank, Huh? Isn`t that it? Frank.....you/whoever really should FLUSH the toilet over there `n wash your hands before coming over here or anywhere else and spreading germs. got that Frank, huh?

For those in search of.....a waterproofing contractor, imo your much better off asking friends/family/neighbors, call Builders Supply Co`s,one here in SE Mich is Sabistons Builders Supply in Warren, call your Bldg Dept, and don`t stop there.

Get at least several estimates, don`t be in a big dang rush. And when contractors show up at your door, imo the first thing you want to see is ID, their state license and insurance. You want everything they say there are going to do AND guarantee in writing, you want references with phone numbers of previous customers, lots of em! Not 5-10. watch out for most Inside salespeople as they are NOT experts, they only learn/repeat to you what the company wants them to tell you and, they make most/all of their money on comissions, the bigger/COSTLIER job
they sell YOU, the more they make.Doesnt appear to leave much,if any, room for being honest....for ONLY telling you what you really need. Like only having the corner that leaks, waterproofed, or if its 1 wall then that is all ya need waterproofed, Not all this dribble about you need all the way around the house/perimeter done, thats most often not necessary and just BS from the salesperson.

http://www.careerbuilder.com/JobSeeker/Jobs/JobDetails....=J310MF5ZDHFJBQQFYHX

2-3 entry level and 1-2 senior salespeople, and thats fine, just fine! among other things you need a willingness to learn,be self motivated and waterproofing and/or mold experience is a plus but not required.

like i say, what one is going to 'learn' is what will be said to them, told to them, they aren`t EXPERTS when they come over to your house to give you an estimate, they couldn`t possiblly be, takes LOTS of time and time spent doing-the-job. So when they tell ya this, that and the other things--'supposedly' what you need, they are repeating the spiel which they learned, has nothing to do with being an expert or giving you an experts opinion on your basement problem. And what.....companies send these non experts over to YOUR house after hiring them in what, a month, 3 months? come on, bs

Watch out for those companies who`ll come by and give you an estimate and then, call you back within 1 day, week whatever and all-of-a-sudden tell you they`ll reduce cost of job if you let them start tomorrow, watch that kind of chtt. Didn`t you just explain to them when they were over you were going to get more estimates and then check references on em all etc, then discuss it and then....make a decision?

This takes some time so, why are they PUSHING themselves on you? Why lower the price, didn`t they just give you their best quote, huh?
